David has a wealth of talent to draw upon to improve individual and organizational performance. With extensive experience in training and development, including classroom instruction, the entire scope of program development, administration, management and evaluation — including train the trainer —
David’s project management background includes specialist inputs in response to RFPs — operating with a team to action, manage and evaluate training projects in a variety of disciplines, locations. Needs analysis, selection of appropriate interventions, delivery, and evaluation of results — “just in time” basis using teamwork.
David can employ many techniques when delivering Learning Direction services, including:
- use of interviews, focus groups for need determination,
- DACUM charts (Design a Curriculum),
- experiential and self-directed learning interventions,
- formal, informal, formative and summative evaluation techniques.
Examples of prior curriculum development to close the gap between present competencies and those required to meet future needs includes:
- experiential learning experiences for Forest Land Survey Technicians in Indonesia,
- for unemployed/under-employed professionals,
- skills for work in Silviculture, Domestic Construction, Telecom installation, A+ Certification, more…
- coordinated efforts of consultants, colleges, industrial concerns to facilitate custom training for Foresters from China, Forage/Range Management and Beef Production for First Nations’ Ranchers.
David’s strong reporting and accountability structure provides:
- the ability to assess and report on training delivery effectiveness; monitor participants’ satisfaction level and achievement of learning objectives,
- informal and formal evaluations of transference of learning to “real-life” situations,
- training for provincial, national and international certification, reports to boards, program sponsors, agencies, supervisors.
